Bangor University


A Brief History of Bangor University 

The University was established as a direct consequence of a battle in the late nineteenth century for advanced education procurement in Wales . Stores were raised by open membership to create a school of college rank in Bangor . Composed by the University Registrar, Dr David Roberts, to celebrate the 125th commemoration of the University, the book follows its ascent from unobtrusive beginnings in October 1884 as the 'College of North Wales', with only 58 understudies in the Penrhyn Arms, to a free college with degree-honoring forces and 14,000 understudies and staff. 
Dr David Roberts said: "It records the highs and lows, the triumphs and emergencies, the accomplishments and difficulties in the University's history. Integral to the story are the commitments of the main figures in the University's improvement throughout the years, and the advancement of understudy life on the grounds." 
"This is a college which picks up quality from its history and its roots, additionally one that has survived and developed by adjusting to evolving circumstances.
